I’m looking forward to an exciting, productive year working with you and your child. I have high expectations for the students in my class and I will make every effort to help your child rise to these expectations. I am a graduate of Illinois State University. I moved from Chicago right after graduation. I have been teaching with Moreno Valley Unified for fourteen years. I also have a Master’s degree in Education. Throughout my years of teaching, I have become committed to the importance of parent involvement in a student’s education. I firmly believe that your child receives the best education possible when you and I work as a team. You will find links to copies of my classroom discipline plan and our first grade homework policy. Please read both of these carefully. They explain many of my expectations for your child in my class. I need your support of these expectations, and I need you to let your child know that you also support these classroom rules and standards. I will be keeping in close touch with you all year long through the daily calendar. Please do the same with me.
